Maybe you read the tweet from Mike DiCenzo: “The only time I feel like I'm truly alone with my thoughts is during those 3 minutes when it's too soon to join the Zoom meeting but too late to start doing anything else.”
This really struck a chord with me. I see myself in this tweet 👀.
Does the situation sound familiar to you, too? Did you already recognize the potential in these moments? Or, like me, did you just look around and not know what to do with yourself 🙄?
Before I read this tweet, I‘d never realized how powerful these moments are. Now, I see it.
Maybe you remember my post about being bored 🥱. This is the same thing. Sometimes the most productive thing is to let your mind wander.
I’m now thankful for these three minutes whenever I have them. When you are actively aware of them, you can put your mind into a completely open state. Let your mind begin to work on its own rather than just reacting. You have no tasks for your brain. Let it switch to creative mode.
Or if you really need to do something, grab a sheet of paper with 30 circles on it (post to come soon 😉).
Use every moment to stay creative.
