The certification of the golden ratio
Hohenstein is a globally recognized provider of textile testing and certification services. Many people are familiar with the OEKO-TEX label, for which Hohenstein plays a key role. Wire developed a fresh, comprehensive brand identity for them, seamlessly integrated across their entire range of communication materials.

Every great brand identity starts with a clear sense of purpose. Through collaborative workshops using the Golden Circle method, we worked with Hohenstein to define what they do, how they do it, and—most importantly—why. These insights came together in a bold and impactful new tagline.
A cohesive brand presence starts with a unified visual identity.
That’s why we created a new corporate design based on the Golden Ratio, a timeless symbol of harmony and balance. As part of this redesign, we also updated and enhanced the iconic Hohenstein quality seals, ensuring they align seamlessly with the brand’s refreshed look.

The Questa Project
The Questa Project is a collaborative type design project
by Martin Majoor & Jos Buivenga.
The Questa Project is a typeface superfamily containing a serif, a matching sans, and a matching display version. Including small caps, four sets of figures, ligatures, and extended language support makes Questa a real workhorse typeface.

Wire revamped existing brochures and designed fresh ones for Hohenstein based on the new corporate design. The result? Enhanced readability and improved clarity, positively impacting their brand communication.
The connecting dot
Hohenstein represents consistent quality standards worldwide. The blue dot from our logo serves as a universal symbol of this excellence, uniting all our laboratories and areas of application across the globe.
No new brand identity is complete without a new website. Wire took charge of the concept, UX/UI design, content creation, and the creative direction for development, delivering a seamless digital experience.


The Hohenstein Brand Space serves as a flagship experience for visitors, showcasing the company’s history and achievements both visually and tangibly. Previously, it felt dark and lacked a clear concept. Wire redesigned the Brand Space to create a brighter, more inviting atmosphere where every visitor can follow a cohesive “blue thread” that ties it all together.
