B2B is sooo boring

“B2B is boring 🥱. I don’t want anything to do with it!” You hear this a lot and maybe you think it yourself. A long time ago, when I worked for Bitburger and Playstation, this was what I thought, too 🤔.

this blue-grey-white world with people who tap on some useless UI elements on transparent displays—with headlines like “We shape the future”, “Tomorrow is today”, “Your success 🚀is our passion” and so on. We all know this. But let me change your perspective (again).

Do you know what sensor technology does for us? How it improves our safety on the streets🚗, for example?

What could be more satisfying for us, with our creative brains, than working for clients whose products will truly shape the future of tomorrow? Which change the way we live, make us more secure. At home. On the streets. In our lives. Which protect our health, our children.

What could be better than to be a part of the success of such clients. To use your expertise to lead them into the right markets.

Sure, it’s not chocolate (“Your taste and 100% organic”) or jeans (“Your style and 100% organic”). It’s more like lidar technology (light detection and ranging 😉)—a key technology for automated driving or EPS (electric power steering system).

You have to take a deep dive into the technology and have to get involved to understand the awesome benefits of a new way to drive, for example. Is it not easy, I know, but it’s worth it.

And forget the blue-grey-white world and the transparent displays. We also talk with humans in B2B communication, but the products and the core message are more complicated than 💯% organic ingredients. In the end, you have to be emotional, exciting and innovative. Because this is the only way to get the attention you need to stand out from the crowd💪. The same as in B2C. There is no difference. Believe me. And you will never achieve this with a transparent display with blue-grey-white useless UI elements on it.

You can only generate leads with good creation. I’ve been in this business for over 10 years and there has never been boring a moment or client so far. Yes, for sure, you need the right client with the right products, but it’s also like that in B2C. There’re also many black sheep, but it’s on you to say no🚫.

I like B2B, I like the challenge. Like showing my clients new possibilities in their communication. And I like the moment when they say, “We’ve never seen it that way before. That’s awesome.😍”

B2B is not boring. In our work, it’s the premier league🚆. In all disciplines. Accept the challenge! I did it. I love it. Stay creative wherever you are. Bleib geil.
